Introduction to Oracle E-Business Suite

Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), also commonly known as Oracle Applications, is a suite of business applications made up of a large number of distinct software modules.
Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition solution includes the following modules:
Oracle Financial
Oracle Purchasing
Oracle Inventory Management
Oracle Order Management
Oracle Discrete Manufacturing
Oracle Sales & Services (CRM)

E-Business Suite has origins in the financial software written by Oracle UK in the late 1980s.Current release, E-Business Suite R12, was released on 31 January 2007. The previous release was E-Business Suite 11i.
Oracle's next generation Application Suite is called Oracle Fusion. At some point in future Oracle will migrate customers from E-Business Suite to Fusion Applications.
