Oracle application used the flexfield to capture the information about the organization . Flexfield have flexfield structure to use the storing key information. Like -

Company
Account

There are two FlexField
1- key FlexField
2- Descriptive FlexField

Key FlexField-

1- Key Flex Field to capture the master data/ key and critical data for th transaction processing .
2- Key Flex Field is Mandatory to implementation.

4- Standard reports support the reporting key Flex field data.
5- Key key flexfield data can be access / references and stored for multiple modules in oracle application.
